Camino Day 4: Sprinkling All the Way

Camino Day 4: Sprinkling All the Way

Today, we had our first negative elevation day. Started with a nice uphill for a warm up and stretch those tight calves.

We planned for rain (Pack covers and rain jackets on). Nothing at the first of the walk but the sprinkles did move in. It was not bad. At least, it wasn’t a heavy rain and it was a short day.

I forgot to mention yesterday that the church by our Pension (hotel) was Church of St. James.

We passed a few small churches again today. When we arrived at Palas de Rei at noon, the two churches were doing battle of the bells. One was either early and the other one was late. They rang their bells one after the other for a total 24 rings.

Excited to report we saw our first deer.

Also, we have met loads more of English speakers. 😅 Everyone has been kind and helpful to try and understand our Spanish via the Google Translate.

At least, we’ve not order two meals each in one setting or even tuna again. Gross, I had two meals with hot tuna and y’all know how I’m am.

Today was pizza for lunch and spaghetti for dinner. Yum to both.

We’ve committed to listen to James 5 chapters. One each day. Today was Chapter 2: Sin of Favoritism and Faith and Works. “You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.” ‭‭James‬ ‭2‬:‭24‬ ‭CSB‬‬
