Camino Day 1: Prayers answered

Today was a great day to start the Camino. Many times during the day I said a prayer and they were answered in God’s way….

Praying for no rain. He just gave us a little sprinkle and told us to put our rain jackets on. This actually was helpful and keeped us warm from the strong winds.

Praying for a restroom. God did not give me the type of restroom that I was praying for. He gave me the natural outdoors which fortunately had a bush or two. But it also had some brairs. Sometimes our prayers are not answered the way we except.

We hiked about 9 miles today from Sarria to A Pena. Our dogs are barking. We are staying a cool old rock home. We have 2 bedrooms with 7 beds between the two. Plenty of room for us. I think we are their first customers of the season. Normally rents out the beds but we got the whole house.

We saw some beautiful scenery and churches.

Tomorrow is a short day. Buen Camino.
